    Trigger rod length with Intelli?

I recently bought a new sear and intelliframe for my RT. I put both in, but the trigger rod seems to be too long because it is pushing against the trigger when the gun is gassed up. The gun won't fire either. I suspect I need to shorten the rod, but how much of a gap should there be between the blade and the tip of the trigger rod? Thanks.

If you do a search you can find posts with the exact lengths of the rod, but as a general rule of thumb you should have about 1/16 inch (~1.6mm) between the end of the rod and the back of the trigger when the gun is gassed up and resting.

People can spit out numbers all day, but the best way to judge trigger rod length is by eye.

It should be long enough so that when the gun is gassed up it is ALMOST, but not quite touching the trigger. 1/16th of an inch sounds pretty good. You COULD have it even closer, but then you are cutting it close.

If you do adjust your trigger rod, make sure you use loctite or else you will have problems with your trigger rod unscrewing in the middle of a game.

It's 1.98in from it's pivot point to its tip

        OR

a credit cards thickness away from the trigger when gassed up.
