I was wondering, is it still possible to buy the old type of valve assembly (68 classic), or do you have to by the retro valve these days?

Sure
Sure you can still buy the classic valves. I have a mess of used ones if you need one.

Really, hmmm... I tell you why I ask, and you tell me what you can do, ok... I just bought this 68 classic, my first mag and it has this strange hole about an inch in front of the normal hole for the air input. Anyway, someone told me it was because there was this thing called a "MagicBox" on it and the person must have taken it off. What it comes down to is all my internals are fine, the hole is blocked with a bolt right now but it limits the position I can angle my input hose. So really what I need is the outer shell of the valve assembly. Anyway, lemme know what you got, and how much you would would want for it. PS I'm in Canada... e-mail me if ya want [email protected]It's Good to be Bad...

You cannot get just an outter shell, you need teh entire assay. Inside the valve, is nothing, its just an SS chamber. You need the serial numbers on the front and back to match for any kind of service from AGD. Maybie you could find one with no on-off, reg piston, spring pack, but that will be difficult, and I doubt you will save much money, just buy a whole new valve, or Go Retro if AGD will let you.
