    Level 10 Help Please . Agd.

    hi - I have a extreme c&c level 10.Paint is fed by a halo B,1st tourney out it ran well all day,except for a barrel leak.I changed the carrier to next smallest.It now has a 1 carrier,3 shims & the spring with the coil cutt off.The next tourney i played i had 330 fps over the crono & dialed the velocity down.The gun would not fire now so i changed to the smaller spring.This now broke paint & had too much force from the bolt.It also had bolt stick, &sever venting out the back.Also i noticed if the field strip screw was too tight the bolt would not release.I have now changed back to the cutt down spring & still breaks paint & vents out the back.I have not got a longer spring supplied with the level 10 pack.Would this cure the venting or would this make matters worse by having to increase regulator to fire the bolt ?.All this happens mainly on hybrid mode.THANKS in advance.

      ok things to check.
      1.make sure the bolt bumper is there and not shredding apart, if it is, replace it.
      2.make sure your shims are not bent, go with 2shims and you'll be fine.
      3.the cut spring should work best, make sure it's on with the cut side on the bolt.
      4.try the 1.5 again, if it leaks goto the 1

      yes the longest spring will be softest on paint but yes you will have to increase velocity more. leave your field strip screw just over hand tight, not too tight, not too loose. Run like two drops of oil into the valve from the airsorce. I guess check these things to see were we stand.

        if u cant get the middle spring to work, use the small one.. as long as u dont shoot over 280 they it shouldnt break paint, mine doesnt al leased But i dont use hellfire..

          OK - tried the 1.5 carrier yesterday,leaked.put the 1 carrier back in.Bolt bumper is ok.Spring with coil cutt off is on bolt end.have oiled the valve etc..,if air input pressure was too high,approx 1000psi at the moment to get trigger to bounce fast on hybrid,would this cause problems ?.checked shims etc all ok.Are there problems with this level 10 that only seem to be comeing to light the more people install them ?Is the piston like the old level seven mag where the allen screw in the back of the reg piston became loose & vented when pressure became too high.Have not stripped fully yet ?.THANKS

            Only hand-tighten your field strip screw.

            Input pressure doesn't matter, unless it's too low.

            Go back to the middle spring and dial it in for 300fps. Does it still vent out the back?

            Try a new piston if you can't get it to stop venting at 300fps with the middle spring. The piston is different than the piston in the AIR valve. There isn't a set screw to tighten to increase the pressure blow off.
