1/8 inch NPT but what else?

OK many times we say its a 1/8 NPT but nowhere can I seem to find the threads per inch given anywhere here. And I need to know!

I found a place that lists 1/8 by 27 as a size on some style of fittings I want.

Is that the correct thread ratio we are using?

Yeppers, 27 threads per inch is 100% correct.
