    Automag... Barrel and other questions...

I just got my J&J ceramic barrel in the mail yesterday, used but in very nice shape. It came with 2 orings, but I think that the back o-ring was a little too big because it wouldn't fit into the body (where the barrel goes) so I took it off, and it fits. Do they sell automag barrel o-rings at pro shops? Is the j&j a decent barrel or should I get a new one, I heard they were good but the only thing I don't like about is the gray color.

What are quick disconnects? Air lines that quickly disconnect? Let me know, thanks a lot!

The J&J barrel is just fine. You should be able to buy those o-rings at the AGD online store, or just about any decent proshop. A quick disconnect is just what you said it is. At the end of the airline is a small piece. Wherever the airline is going into is another small piece. These 2 parts can be connected or disconnected easialliy, hence quickly disconnecting/connecting your airline. Most people have them on there valves, so that the vavle can be removed without having an airline attached, or to be sure that all of the gas is out of the system.

Go here, and there is a pic in this thread.

I would like to add to what pyro said about qd's. They do do everything he said but they do not stop air flow. So if your air is on and you pull it open ot it is open the hose will leak. So when using qd's don't turn your gass on when they are not connected

You can use a pro/connect which is about the same thing as a q/d, but it stops airflow.

Pyro answered it already in one of his post
