10 volt Regulator for Emag/Warp

i have a better reg, and i was wondering who else wants one.

i like it better cuz instead of burning the excess energy off in heat like the 7805 (i think the part # is) reg that Rob has diagramed, it just doesnt take it.
Mine is 10v, but i can go from 1-18 per request.

it also looks more professional it was designed for an elevator by my dad, but i borrowed one for shatnerball cuz it was there and easy and i got some interest in it.

currently i have about 3 extra. and if there is more interest i can print more boards up.

I had that reg rob had at robagd.com. it worked great until it heated up. once it got a certian temerature it basically shut down.
this might be the solution.

Bolt a piece of aluminium on the regulator (like a piece of a 1,5mm sheet).
It should solve the problem.

Which kind of regulator is it? A switching-mode regulator?

7812 - 12v reg, has been working great for me. never had it melt or shutdown on me (even after VERY heavy use)
