Shocktech Drop....what am I doing wrong?

Ive got a shocktech drop foward (heres a link to the pic http://www.actionvillage.com/031-8000.html ), and Ive got a CP ASA on/Off adapter.

For some reason, when I am firing, the drop comes loose from the adapter.

There is a hole where the allen key goes in the drop. Thats where you tighten it to the adapter. When you turn it, a little black pin comes out the bottom and presses itself into the adapter.

I cant figure out how to getthe pin to stay there. I cant tell if its coming out because its burrowing itself into the adapter and then workig itself loose, or if its the actual bolt that is unscrewing itself due to vibration.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

If somebody doesn't answer it, bring it to WRG saturday and we'll take a look at it. I'm running a Shocktech drop as well.

      Hey thanks Dayspring.

I have two ideas in mind for it.
      1. put thread lock on the allen key bolt so the vibration wont shake it loose.
      2. if #1 doesnt work then bore a hole into the adapter that will fit the allenkey bolt inside it. Then put it in there and put superglue in it too so it stays there

has anyone tried either or these or does anyone know a better way

Is the thing just loosening up or is the on/off actually coming off of the rail?
I had a problem with the exact same set up as you. Only my on/off would come off of the rail I guess because I would get it so tight and the fit wasn't perfect so it would like round over the rail and cause it to come off.
I fixed it by sliding a thin piece of plastic on one side of the dovetail rail when I would slide the on/off on to it.

I had another problem like you are describing with a CP flame drop and my Flatline adapter. I fixed it by installing TWO set screws instead of one. Hope this mini novel helps

Is it possible for you to use two set screws before you use the locktite?
If it is the permenant locktite you will have tough time getting that thing off of there if you ever have to.
