System X drop down help with PSI

So I just recieved my Pure Energy 68x4500 tank and rushed to the local paintball shop to get the other parts needed.
When I got back home and tried to hook everything up I noticed that the tank will not screw onto the System X drop down due to the size of the tanks valve. The threds would fit but due to the design I cannot get the threads close enought to screw the tank it.. Has anyone else seen this before and what drop down do you recommend me getting??
