    Valve Leak, can't stop it.........

I have a 68 Classic, all dye...crome...here is the problem....

Firt, I have air blasting down the barrel.

Got a spacer kit. had a .215 in there. Didn't work
.220 no blowing down the barrel, but when I pull the trigger. I goes "Sput" like nothing is really comming out. Then after 3 or 4 pulls, it blows out the barrel again.

I got a whole new o/o assy. Still doing it...P/T Tip is new, all O-rings are new...just about all the soft parts are brand new now. Help?

Is your velocity turned up high enough? That will cause it to "sput".
You will get a barrel leak if your tank is low also.
To fix a leak down the barrel you go a size smaller in the spacers.

I dont think they make spacers lower than a .215.

        Spacers.....

Well, if I used the .215 and it still leaking down the barrel, changed the O/O assy.....maybe the trigger sear? Out of adjustment? I am clueless at this point...Any one else? *Maybe I will send it to AGD*...but I was trying to avoid that...

Pt o-ring? Has the sear been ajusted?

I am aware that .215 is the smallest spacer.
To save the time and trouble of shipping it off you can sand the spacer to the right length. I had to do this with my last mag.
I put the sand paper on a smooth flat surface and rubbed the spacer back and forth keeping pressure on the spacer so it would be a consistent length all the way around.
Sand a little and then check to see if it will work. You can always take a little more off...it is a LOT harder to put it back on if you go too far!
It might help if you put your old power tube oring back in....it may be a little smaller than the new one.

              Replace your PT o-ring.

If that doesn't work, then make sure you have the rail bushing in place. It's the steel tube that connects the grip frame to the rail and is in the hole for the field strip screw that holds in the valve.

He didn't have the bushing in, we figured this out earlier.

                  hum.......

Well, the bushing 'helpped'....I got her running for about 2 minutes.....Mid game, with 1 minute left, she took a dump. Same thing...Blowing Air out the barrel...Taking it a shop here in town. Thanks for the help guys...Hooohaaa!

The Sear had to be adjusted as well...I think this is a combination of Too Much/Not enough velocity, Power Tube (Problems). If the shop can't do this right, I am sending it in to AGD for a re fit to RETRO valve. Any one have any sugestions with RETRO? Just slip it in and play right? lol
