    emag problems

For the love of all that's holy help me! I recently bought a "new" emag (The store rented them out on a daily rate just didn't tell me. It also didn't come with manual, video, full auto pin, etc.), and I can't seem to get it working. The marker won't fire, and there is no resistance on the......rt pin? I'm not sure of the lingo. The rod that pushes against the trigger. Manual or E won't work. I've adjusted the pin length in and out, taken the reg apart to check for obstructions, checked the bolt, tightened the velocity until air bled out the barrel (it did). The battery's fine, air is over 1000 psi. Any help?

First of all set the trigger rod back to the stock length. You aren't suppose to mess with that. If you have dial calipers it should measure 2.125" from the tip to the back of the arm on the sear that the rod is clamped to. Or you can take a ruler and measure it and make sure it's 2-1/8".

Does you hear the trigger click when you gas up the gun? Does the rod move at all? Make sure you have over 1K psi in your tank and that it's providing enough air flow.

Does the board boot up when you pull the yellow pin from the battery pack? It should say AGD 1.37. Take off the left grip panel and you'll see the board and solenoid. Lift up on the solenoid arm to make sure the sear moves freely. It should slide up and down without much resistance. Hold it up with your finger and pull the trigger in E-Mode when the gun is turned on. The sear should pull down real quick.

The trigger rod had already been messed with. I can see where the loctite was. The trigger doesn't click when it's gassed. The sear moves freely, but the sear doesn't move when I pull the trigger in e-mode.

Try turning on the emag without the air supply attached. After it boots up and reads AGD 1.37, put the selector switch in manual (M) mode. Pull the trigger and listen for the click. If there isn't a click, turn the trigger magnet counter clockwise. This will put the trigger magnet further away from the hall effect sensor. Pull the trigger again and see if you can hear a click. Once you hear the click, you know the electronics are working and you can go about setting up the trigger. If you can't get the electronics to function, then you have a problem that needs to be addressed at AGD.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

For further clarification, the trigger magnet athomas is talking about is located in the center hump of the trigger. Use a 1/16" allen wrench to adjust it and use small increments when adjusting it.

OK. I've got the electronics going. The electronic sear will now pull down. However, the trigger pin has no "pop"....er, resistance? Again, I'm not sure of the lingo. It doesn't charge.

Without the air supply on the gun and turned on, there won't be any resistence on the trigger rod.

Since you got the electronics going, adjust the trigger so that it fires where you want it and will reset itself when the trigger is forward. Now install the air supply on the gun and see if it works.

Just in case, don't forget to flip the safety switch. It might be as simple as that.

I've gassed up, and still no pressure on the trigger pin. No matter how I adjust it (to either extreme, and everything inbetween). Air's 3000 psi. I'm sure I'm missing that one, little thing that all mag owners know, but I do not.
