Newbie gots 'nother question, 3000 vs 4500

Thanks for all your patience in answering my questions up to this point. I'd promise that I won't ask any more newbie questions, but I'd be lying. :)

So, on to the next query, what's the difference between 3000 and 4500 tanks? Is it the regulator, overall tank pressure capacity, etc., and what are the benefits/detriments of the 4500 over the 3000 (seeing as the 4500 costs more. I know that more $$$ doesn't always mean better, but...).

I understand the higher a ci, the more shots you get per tank, just not sure whether I should look at a 3k or a 4.5k. Knowing my brothers-in-law, I'll probably be playing front (they'd rather snipe), so that's a bit of a consideration. Tank weight isn't an issue.

the higher the psi the more air the tank can hold

a 68/4500 tank holds 50% more air than a 68/3000

a 68/4500 holds almost as much air as a 114/3000, get it?

Yes! it is both the regulator and the tanks abilities. They both need to be rated for the maximum pressure.

If you can get 4500 fills then good to have the ability to take advantage of them.

Yes the 4500's can cost another 40-50 bucks initially but think about it, an 88ci 3000= 880 shots; the 88ci 4500= 1320 shots or 4500=15shots/ci or 3000=10shots/ci

so in the 440 more shots you get w/ the 4500, that's around 3-4 dollar savings you would normally have to get refilled in the 3000. so by your 10-12 refill, you already started saving money, so it's MUCH better to get the 4500, if you cant afford it yet, wait until you can

I would say in general, if your field has an unlimited air for x dollers a day, and you don't take your tank home to play in the woods your ok with a 3000. If you play at home, and have to go to the field/store to get it filled, or they charge $3 a fill, your probably better off with a 4500.
