    Bolt stick

Ive got an ANS Phase II Venturi Bolt on my mag. I have been having problems with bolt stick. We checked it out and compared it to a stock bolt and the plunger is longer than the stock. I changed spacers and o-rings. This is not helping at all. Ideas?

If a longer power tube spacer doesn't work, then get rid of the ANS bolt. AGD bolts work better anyway. Aftermarket products have too many tolerance issues on mags. Get a level 10 bolt. It'll work for you and give the added benefit of preventing you from chopping balls in the breach.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

About the ANS, I had that for a while before my level 10. I only chopped twice with it. I really like that bolt alot, if you cant afford a LX yet just look around for the right spacer, keep trying, and you can ask AGD for other spacers ie: .210 .240

          Here's the deal....
Got rid of the ANS bolt, got a 32 Degrees venturi bolt. changed every o-ring in my marker, played with the spacers, oiled the sh*t out of it... same problem. Could the on/off not be working properly? It looks like the guy who had it before put in one of them maxflo valves. And it has been leaking air out the back. This is really starting to get frustrating.

I'd be willing to bet that the 32 degrees bolt is even worse than the ANS one. Aftermarket parts in mags generally do nothing but bad things. Forget about venturi bolts, aftermarket valve parts, and everything else. Get yourself an AGD stock bolt or Level 10. Don't mess with trash like that if you want your Mag to work properly

I had this problem wit my mag until i replaced my regulator piston and changed my spring then switched bak to he stock bolt. Also take and back the velocity nut all the way out then crank it back in till it starts laeking againg then chrono it if it below 280 then that is most likely ur prblem. U can order a new regulator piston from agd in there store 4 20 bucks.

Hopes this helps get ur mag back up and running good luck

I now firmly believe that it is not a bolt problem. It is leaking air out the back tho...and when I turn the adjuster down to where it stops leaking the ball go about 20 feet. On the same note, What makes a reg piston go bad and is there a way to tell by looking at it? Also, How can you tell if you need to replace the spring pack?

The "bolt stick" problem is a different problem than the "air leaking out the back" problem.

This new air leaking out the back problem is either the reg piston assembly is bad/weak or there is a bad o-ring in the back. You mentioned that you changed every o-ring. Did you use an AGD o-ring kit or an aftermarket o-ring kit? If you used an aftermarket o-ring kit, then that is probably the problem. It has been found that most aftermarket o-ring kits don't perform as well as AGD parts. I have even fell victim to that one once. Get AGD parts only.

Yeah it was a 32 Degrees parts kit. Im gonna order the AGD one and get a new Reg just in case.

Let's not jinx it...its working now. I rebuilt it with factory parts, stock valve and a new reg piston. Ripped off a full hopper, only one break. But I think it was cuz it was crap Zap paint.

See, genuine AGD parts and it works fine.

                        Have fun.

Okay, I spoke too soon. I rebuilt the entire marker with AGD o-rings, new spring, new reg piston, new sear, new on/off top. Still having problems. I do run Co2, is it maybe freezing up? What exactly will it do if it does? I put some oil on the on/off and it worked for about 50 shots then started acting up again. I had the velocity turned all the way up till I couldnt turn it any more and it didnt leak out the back, is it supposed to? I switched markers yesterday after all this happened and my mag sat and burped for a few minutes after I took the tank off. Im running out of things to replace.

What exactly are the symptoms right now. We know the gun isn't leaking out the back. So that part is fixed.

There arent many parts left...so we are at the on/off. I put some grease on it and it seems to be working. Ive shot 2 and a half hoppers through it since I greased her up. Not one break. My season is coming to an end so Im gonna give her a major overhaul over the winter.
