    Tarnished Chrome?

    Hey There guys,

I've got this 'ol Chrome Benchmark 1x frame I bought off someone here on AO for real cheap. I love it, but it's pretty darn old, so it's tarnished, and the chrome doesn't match with the chrome on my Drop, body rail, or my barrel.

Anyone know if there's a "home-made" fix for this? or if there's something specific I can get @ a hardware store or something?

    Thanks in advance!

If you go to a high performance autoparts store they might have a Chrome polish. You might also try silver polish but I would try and find the chrome polish first.

      chrome polish

my frame tarnished cuz i didn't clean it after everytime i used, it i got some chrome polish and polished it up, even though the the tarnish came off there was millions of tiny little scratches in the chrome from the polish, so i don't recomend that you do it, just polish it by hand with a CLEAN SOFT rag, and after everytime you use it polish it so that the oils from your hand don't get into the chrome and tarnish it again, by the way i have a dye 2x chrome frame

        Chrome Dye

The Dye frames are actually Nickel Plated. Better than chrome, doesn't chip off as easy. But you MUST keep them polished and waxed.

The ANS quickfire trigger frame that I bought for my cocker awhile back did not hold up nearly as long as the chrome plated frame that I had done by a local chrome plating service. The nickel started to chip on the top, maybe I just got a bad frame, I dunno but it did not hold up as well as my chrome frame did.
