Pump Mag Question re: bumpers

Well, I'm setting up a pump mag, but I'm missing the "black bumper" that should be in the kit. Not sure if I lost it or if it wasn't there. What I'm wondering is can I just cut a blue bumper to a smaller outer diameter so it fits inside the waffle spring? I assume that's all the black bumper is, but I'm not sure.

ummmm.... you can use the blue bumper, it's exactly the same as the black one. (mine is at least and I've used both with no problems.) What do you mean by fits inside the waffle spring? It doesn't go in the spring, it goes behind it. Simply put it on the power tube, put the wave spring on, put your bolt on, and hook everything else up.

In the instructions for the pump kit (found in the blowup diagram section of the tech support page for some reason) it is very specific about the black bumper replacing the blue one and fitting inside the wave spring.

I'll believe you if you say it works, but I'm just following instructions.
