AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Had Subbeh wire in a 12v regulator & on/off. I have the jumpers in the right configuration. I put in two NiMH 9v batteries, and it just spins, no matter what the sensitivity dial does.
I'm pretty sure I saw in another thread that if that happens, let the warp run for a short bit, and that should stop the problem. Let me see if I can find the link.

Originally posted by hitech As long as the extra load (revvy motor) doesn't hurt the warp circut board that should work fine. The problem you are probably having is that since you have increased the voltage powering the warp to aprox. 12 volts you need to run the "break in" procedure. Put two cheap 9 volt batteries in the revvy, turn it on and adjust the warp sensitivity so it spins and let it run until the batteries die. Then put in fresh, high quality 9 volt batteries and adjust the sensitivity/dwell again (see the warp manual for instructions). BTW, I had to do this when i increased my warp to 12 volts. Good luck.

Ran the warp til it stopped. Then pulled the trigger on the Emag. Worked flawlessly, but it isn't a quarter spin, I don't think. Looks more like half a spin, and I have ALL jumpers on the board. Could this still have something to do with using the NiMH batteries? (I think they flow a little more current than normal 9v)
More of an update. I recharged the batteries, popped them back in and it just started spinning again. Hmmm. I think Hitech's right and there's some noise in the line. D'oh... Guess I'm hitting radio shack tomorrow. (Anybody care to tell me how to do this all?)
Well, we (my dad and I) decided to put the warp back to its 9v configuration, but leave the on/off and LED in the circuit cuz we couldn't get it working correctly. So I have most of the benefit from the Subbeh mod, w/o the 12v reg, or second battery in there. (It also cleared out alot of room cuz he wasn't quite neat) No biggy. I just wanted a working Warp.
