    Lighten trigger

I have heard about some type of oil or grease that can slightly lessen the trigger pull on the automag, is this true? If so what type of stuff can be used without harming the sear or rod. Thanks

Theoretically, any good lubricant that would stay in place on the sear, would slightly lighten the trigger pull. The problem is the force that is exerted on such a small contact area. Any lubricant is quickly wiped off.

The best you could do is use a sticky film that would coat the outer ring of the bolt where the sear catches. Make sure the sear is smooth and flat. The maximum surface contact area would allow the sear to ride on a film of lubricant. Of course, for this to work, the sear would have to be cut at the exact same angle as the bolt flange. the sear would also have to rotate so that the sear face kept in flat contact with the bolt flange until the bolt was actually released. These angles aren't perfect in a mag, so I don't think its possible.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
