I just purchased a microgauge to keep track of my input pressure. After I installed it It was reading about 850psi (I have a PMI Pure Energy 4500 tank) and the tank had about 3600psi in it. After I put about 500 rounds through the gun the tank had about 1900psi in it and the microguage was reading 800psi. Is this normal?? I though that my input pressure should never fluctuate?? Any info on this will help.
E-Mag owners, I need info please

Micro guages are never all that accurate. They just give you a general idea of how much pressure you have in the tank and how high your output is. Sometimes they stick and they don't read the same as they did before. The 50psi difference is probably because the needle is sticking. It's nothing to worry about. Only if it's showing a few hundered psi difference throughout the day.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've noticed the same thing on my reg. As long as you stay close, I've never noticed a difference in consistency or trigger bounce. That sure is a pretty emag you got.

Thanks for the great info guys. Going from my old minimag to the E-mag has just made me 100 times more interested (and nervous) than I ever was with paintball markers. So needless to say I am learning most of information from you guys on this forum and from talking to people.
Thanks tubby ninja!
I love her too!

I used to put micro gauges on everything (they look cool) but I found that switching gauges would give me up to 150psi difference (same gun, different gauge) They are more of a reference point than "gospel"
BTW, my MacDev Conquest 88/4500 system gives me a 200psi difference from when the tank is full when it's down around 2000psi. MacDev is sending me a new spring for the reg, they say it has "collapsed". 50psi is quite acceptable and normal.
