How long should a reg seat last?

OK, I turned in my 'Mag valve for a new Classic valve under the valve exchange program a few months ago.

After less than 1000 shots, the gun started acting like it had a bad reg seat. I haven't taken apart the regulator since I got the new valve.

Now, the back half of the regulator is pretty loose; once I've fired the gun, I need to tighten it a bit just to get the valve off the rail; the retaining pin will have rotated around so that it won't fit in the slot otherwise...

Could this be causing the reg seat to go bad, or should I be looking for another problem?

On a related note, will it hurt anything to put a tiny drop of blue Loc-tite on the regulator threads to keep it from loosening up as much?

    Thanks!

    Kenn
Everybody else seems to have a picture of their 'Mag in their sig, so what the heck; here's mine:

Always, always follow the instruction manual. No loctite on the regulator threads.
I think you can not answer that question. Normally the reg seat can last for a long time. But think if it will catch a small piece of debris for example. You can not see that but it is there on the reg seat.
Sorry of my english but i am from Greece and i like the AGD products.

That's true. It shouldn't go bad that quickly but if a little bit of dirt/sand/ect got into the system from you ASA or whatever, it could foul the reg seat. Unfortuntly, when you take the valve halves apart to check you need to replace the reg seat anyway.
