    I bought a used gun....

I bought a used Automag 68 w/ Teardrop and Flatline nitro system from my friend for 400...Was that a good deal? I played with it in my backyard with a couple of friends today and it worked fine. I was wondering if there was any way to keep the screws in the back in...They always get really loose and I have to tighten them...I'm pretty sure they're the velocity lock screws. And how do i adjust and check the output pressure of the tank? What would be a good pressure? Does anyone know how I could get instruction booklets for the marker and tank?

    Thanks

To get instruction manual for your mag, just email AGD on this website, they should send you a manual. 400 w/ a nitro tank isnt too bad, of course you could of received a better deal, but not to worry, he's your friend, you know where he lives! Your output pressure on your nitro will more than likely be 800-850 psi. That's fine, you dont need to regulate it or anything, the mag already has a regulator built in, so you dont even need a 2nd regulator. Actually, putting a 2nd reg will not give you a good flow rate, so you would experience drop-off. Normally, i dont buy used guns from anybody but mags are different, they can take abuse from their owners and still shoot fine!

The very large "screw" in the back part that has automag (or classic) engraved on it is the velocity adjustment. Use an allen wrench to adjust the velocity. The flatline tank works the same, but is in the front and has a locking ring to keep the adjuster from moving. Here is a PDF version of the manual for the 68 Automag/Mini Mag:

I knew that the big one was for the velocity...but there are two little screws in the velocity adjustment and they keep falling out

you can get the maintainance and trouble shooting VIDEO for just the cost of shipping(4.95$) from the online store.

400 w/ a nitro tank isnt too bad, of course you could of received a better deal
i dont know where this guys has been shopping but considering the fact that the flatline alone is close to 500$, plus another 300$(give or take) for the gun and barrel, depending on what kind of shape the stuff is in, id say you got a very good deal.

Oops...I was thinking of a more cheaper nitro tank, not the AGD tank. Yeah, 400 bucks was a great deal! Sorry! Then again, you still paid too much if you think about it...nothing beats the 5 fingered discount!!! j/k =)

You can never have to much gear (unless you pam). And that is coming form a guy that personally has 20+ markers ready to play in his basement. Also gear enough (tanks, revys, other hoppers, and masks) for atleast 5 people.

                    and stuff
