What's better, a Lapco Autospirit barrel, Or a Lapco Bigshot barrel?

last time i checked the only difference was bore size. so just find which one fits the bore of the paint you use most

The bigshot is a slightly larger bore size than the autospirit. (.689 for the bigshot and .687 for the autospirit last time I checked). I've used a bigshot and can tell you that it is very versatile with different sized paints. However, if you plan on shooting strictly small paint (all-star, evil, stuff like that) then the autospirit might be more ideal. Other than that they are virtually identical.

would the bigshot be better for marb's? I was also thinking about getting a lapco, is the alum better or worse then the stainless? i like the lightness of the alum. Thanks for any info.

if you are only shooting marbs, id go for autospirit, since marbs are a smaller than average bore. i think the bigshot is for more feild type economy paint. as for ss or aluminum, i might be worng but i thought the ss is more durable and is much heavier. i had an aliminum autospirit and it felt good.

There is a slight bore size difference between the SS and the AL barrels. I can't remember for sure but I think that the SS autospirit is just slightly smaller than the AL Autospirit.

i would say go with the bigshot for use with marbs. I have a bigshot, and i usually use marbs. It has a NEARLY perfect paint/bore match.

Actually, I use the Autospirit w/ marbs and they work perfect! I have both barrels Big shot and Autospirit for my mag but i've used the autospirit w/ marbs and never had any problems with it. You will get more accuracy w/ the spirit over the bigshot using marbs but if you shoot cheaper paint, then buy the bigshot, it's more versitile. Actually, ive never had a marb break in my gun using the autospirit! Hope this helps!

Oh, the Stainless steel will change more than the aluminum will during hot/ cold days. Thermal expansion is greater in iron than in aluminum. Plus, the aluminum is lighter, MUCH lighter. I have a Al autospirit and a SS big shot. Yeah the SS is prettier but it weighs more then 2X's the aluminum barrel. I wish i bought an aluminum big shot because yeah the SS will not bend easier and is more durable but, c'mon, we buy new barrels every year. By the time your barrel will show it's age, you'll have 2 more new ones! Plus, it's 20 bucks cheaper!

hmm... well i can't say that i havn't had one break in that barrel, though. Although it is neiher the gun's fault nor the barrel's fault, my friend these marbs in the back seat of his car for about 2 weeks and THEN we played with them. I was wondering why i was chopping and having so many breaks, then it hit me. Lesson: Don't leave paint in sunlight/in a car for extended periods of time.

Well, you can use paint that's been in a car for weeks, but just dont use it in your paintball gun! Instead, make one of those bazookas and put the messed up paint in there!
