my 10 cents worth
the advantage to a Z grip is you can hold the gun tighter and real close to your body more comfortably, unlike the standard .45 frames that are shaped to be held like a pistol. AGD used to make em but dont anymore so you have to look pretty hard to find one. it feels wierd at first, but nice once you get used to it (ive tried one once). its only good for speedball in my opinion. you can find a pic or two of it on the www.automags.org picture gallery. take a look. -
ok, Virus has set the example for me to PW mine, too. lol.
Besides, pics WERE asked for. . . .
Personally, I like the setup alot. It does take a little getting used to, and I still do not have the perfect feeling drop forward on the gun yet. I've decided that I need some way to pretty much mount the flatline difectly to the bottom of the grip. No forward, no drop. IF i could find a way to do that, I think the tank positioning would be perfect. Please note that this pic is a little outdated. It now has a retrovalve, and Level 10. Also, I warped this baby last week. Its the most compact setup ive ever seen. Enough with the rambling. Here's the pic.Comment

The Way ?
Smokee, you talking about a duckbill-only type piece that goes directly on the grip, like this .....?Originally posted by Smokee_2_7

The one I have is a duckbill adapter from a Tippmann E-Bolt kit that I used to have on my 98 Custom. If you call their customer support they would probably be willing to sell you one as a spare part. Or, if you're a slick fella, and know someone who has this kit you could get them to call and they may send it for free. You could even try to convince them that you are an owner, but that would be bordering on thievery. Hope that helps.Comment

also for that drop he showed... looks alot like the stock drop that comes with the macdev conquest tank..... it is just a small pc of square stock with the rail mount cut into it..... i tried like you want to a while ago.... you would want to switch the gauges and nipples around.... the nipples and line where in the way when i did it.... plus it just didnt feel right... the tank felt too high and back to far....
i would suggest a DZ2 and offset the tank... that is how i did it with my hyperflow... moved the tank right out of the way and was very comfy... then i got my warp and flatline and with that the shocktech drop works out very nicelyVirus, King of the Basement Trollz has spoken

Anybody know where I could get my hands on a Z-Grip? I just checked E Bay and they only had a gun with the grip on it...My feedback...

Love my Z-Grip, so very comfortable. Feels best when you use the grip to moreless steady the gun, opposed to completely holding it with the grip frame. I support the weight of my Z-Gripped mag between my hand holding the reg of my tank, and the tank against my shoulder, which leaves me to lightly rest my hand on the frame and focus on pulling the trigger. Ive included a pic, you can see more pics of my 'mag via the link below.Comment

penndragonn2001; well, the tank cover is just a normal black RASE tank cover, though, it has one of the AO patches sewn on that myself and Slushee made up for AGD and AO.
I think AGD still has some of the gold ones left (like the one on my tank) on the AGD Online Store. Follow the link at the top of the page, and look under apparel.Comment
