    Used RT, some small problems

Hello. I have recently purchased an automag RT, and have several questions/issues and a problem or two.
First, I am using a Dynaflow adj. reg, set to 700psi. Every once in a while when firing, the bolt will stick about 1/2 of an inch forward, and I have to either degas the marker or use a stick to push the bolt back.
Next, my local PB store recommeded a bolt foamie to reduce breakage, but when I put the foamie on the bolt it stuck out so far (no more than 1/8 of an inch) that PB would not feed into the breech. I had to remove the foamie.
Also, the "sweet spot" is not very hard to find. Hit it just about every time unless I am very conscience about pulling the trigger all the way back, pausing, release, and repull. I have chopped more paint in this marker in the past two weeks than I have in all my other markers since I have owned them, but I am sure that can be cured, somehow.

Will the LVL10 bolt function on this marker?
Is there an electronic trigger frame made for this marker that would also help reduce PB breakage?

I appreciate the help. I really like this marker and want to make it work for me.
    Thanks.....

Yes, a Lvl 10 kit will work in your gun. It'll eliminate ball breakage entirely.... well almost.

For the foamie.. if the bolt isn't made to have a foamie on it, it'll stick out too far, most likely. If you really want to dink around with it, try cutting up the foamie.

for the bolt stick... I think you might want to try and find a spacer kit. That may/may not solve the problem. How often is it happening?

      Definately get the level 10.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I have not been able to use it in a game yet, only trying to get use to it and find the markers quirks.
At this point I would say the only time it sticks is when it breaks a ball and jams the next ball in the breech. I suppose it only "sticks" because it cannot make the full travel due to the chopped ball and ball chunkies.

BTW, I am using a Ricochet 2K hopper. So far I have not noticed the hopper not keeping up with the marker. Just from inspecting it and watching closely while the marker is firing and balls are feeding, it looks like the balls are too close to the marker coming down the feed tube, and they tend to hold the next ball up in feeding into the breech. I was thinking about putting something inside th feed tube, on the body side, to keep the balls more inline with each other instead of staggered.

        What do you think?

Well, the level 10 will definitely solve your chopping problems, when properly tuned anyway.

Your description of the ball stack is reminiscent of possible powerfeed plug problems. Please take a good look at your powerfeed plug, check this link http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...threadid=12911 and, if you have the newer pf plug, adjust it accordingly. If you do not have the new style pf plug, you can get one by contacting AGD, and while your at it, if you haven't already, register the RT to yourself.

Does the bolt stick when you dry fire? If it does you may need to change the PT spacer, which will become moot if and when you get the Level 10 bolt anyway.

i had the same prob with ball breakage, got a level 10 and not one ball has broken and thats with 2 year old paint. I have a retro valve. bolt stick sounds like PT spacer problems but when you get a level 10 you will fix that also. Best 80 bucks EVER spent!

Check and see if there's a flat spot on your power-feed plug.

If it looks like there is, you probably need a parabolic plug. I got mine for free when I registered my gun, got the manual/video, etc...

THat will cause feeding problems even if you have the greatest hopper out there.
