Just got an Emag, I've got a few problems

Ok, I just got my emag in the mail, I'm very excited. When I got it I slid the batter on and the LED flashed "AGD something" for just a split second, then went blank. I just figured the battery was dead, so I went out to the car and plugged in the charger. I tryed it in M mode and it worked great. I tried it a few more times that night, but would only get a flicker. It would flicker when I was sliding the battery one, when the battery touched the pins. I never would stay on longer than a second. Sometimes the "AGD something" would be all blury. Well, this morning I got up and went to get the battery out of the car, the charger light was still red. But I tryed it anyway, the LED didn't even turn on now. So the battery had charged for about 10 hours, 8 straigt, what's my problem? What should I do? Also the bumper on the bolt is the blue one like on the stock valve, shouldn't it be the clear one like on the RT valve? Help me AO.

I am unsure whether or not it may be a battery problem or not, as I have never charged my battery in the car, but the description of the problem sounds like the battery is either failing to charge or failing to hold a charge. The difference between the two problems are either a charger failure or a battery failure, though I am leaning toward the charger failure, as the gun is still recieving a charge when the battery is connected, as evidenced by the LED display.

Try purchasing the wall adapter unit from Radio Shack. I am unsure of the proper model, as I am at work. Once I get home, I'll post the model numbers, just make sure you get the right adapter for the battery charging unit, which comes free with the purchase of the wall unit.

The clear bumper is quickly put in pieces on the markers with the level 10. On mine, in 4 months of play, I've alredy replaced the clear bumper twice.
I suppose they've switched to the old one, probably stronger.

Looks like you've got a bad battery, or the charger is faulty. The led should be green after less than 1 hour.
If you've got a multimeter, you could check the voltage on the battery terminals. It should be near 18V when the battery is loaded.

Thanks for the help, I still could use some more though. After letting the battery set charging all night in the car. I put it on the gun and there was no LED display as I said in my first post. But I checked it after about an hour, I pulled the yellow pin out of the battery, and the LED desplayed the "AGD something" flashed up on the screen, and then blinked out, so I replaced the pin and tryed again, same thing, except the flash was alittle weaker and lasted not quit as long. After about 4 times nothing happened when I pulled the pin out. What is funny though is I let it sit for about 5 min. and tryed again, same thing. I don't know what the problem is, I think I'm going to call AGD and see what they say. DarkPhoenix if you would post up that info about the wall charger, I think I'll look in to getting one of those.

Thanks for the help, keep it coming.

It would be good to check for shorts in the system, either the battery itself or something in the wiring. I had a problem with mine once where it was shorting through the caseing to the frame.

          Enjoing the lapcos on there?

I don't know if you are aware, but the "AGD 1.37" or whatever version you have only shows up for a couple seconds, then the display is replaced with just a blinking dot. That is how it works on mine, and it came straight from AGD to me.

Wel, the AC adapter I'm using is 12VDC 1500mA. I see no model numbers but they should have them at you neighborhood Radio Shack. The Radio Shack people, when you purchase the AC adapter, should offer you a free tip to go with it. I recommend you bring your batter charger, my tip has a blue ring, if it makes any difference.

Well, the AGD 1.37 isn't replaced by anything, just a blank screen. Thanks for you replys, about how much do the wall chargers run? If you know.

Try screwing the HES trigger magnet further into the body of the trigger.

Ok, does it actually fire? You havent stated that at all. Also, my board only flashed the AGD 1.37 for a second...then I get a dot that flashes, at best, intermittently. So, if it fires, I really wouldnt worry about it.

Oh, sorry about that, it doesn't fire, only in M mode. Thanks for all the help guys, I talked to Jon at AGD today and I'm just going to send it in to get fixed and updated.
