    switching body rails...

I'm switching to an acid blue body rail for my minimag and can't seem to remove the pin that locks the barrel in place from the stock body rail.

If you dont understand what pin I'm talking about it is the one that is on the front of the body rail. It is a depressable pin with a small spring and allen wrench nut behind it in a small metal casing. the new body rail has a whole where it should go, i just can't get it out of the stock one.

is it only stuck in the body? Or can you not remove the body rail at all? If you simply cant get it out of the body...get a tap and small hammer and GENTLY tap in out, from the top.
    X-mag #10. Nuff said.

Sounds like the twist lock assembly. You shouldn't take the assembly apart. It will push out of the rail as a whole assembly. I squeeze it out with a vise. Put one jaw against the bottom of the twist lock assembly (where the allen screw goes). Put the other jaw of the vise against the top of the rail. You'll have to use a spacer(usually a block of wood) against the rail so the twist lock assembly will come all the way out.

      Hope this is clear enough.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
