WOW! thats a really awsome test russ, thanks for taking the time to do it! The burning question on my mind right now with my E-mag is still why it was bustin paint that day. I just bought a 200 round box of PMI black/red with white fill today and shot it. I had 1 mystery ball break and I short stroked the triggen in manual mode (dont ask me how?!?!) Does your e-mag bust balls when you have it in E-mode on say, 3 shot burst or 6 shot burst @ 9 balls a second. Mine seems to like doing that with either my DYE or stock barrel. I dont know what to think...

Well, (looking for piece of wood to tap...) I've only chopped one ball since I've had the gun, and it was because I was shooting out from behind the left side of a bunker, and I had the gun tilted too far.

The breaks I've had (and last Sunday there were many, all w/ Flash paint) have all been in the barrel. I attribute them to crappy paint. The weather was an influence as well.

Maybe you should try the gun without the warp feed for a day, to see if things go a bit better. I'm yet to install my warp feed. I just didn't like it with the hopper left. I did order myself a warp mainbody for it on Wednesday, though :)

If you guys have it around, I highly recommend the new JT paint. Try some if you get the chance.

Great tests, Russ. I use mostly 32 Degrees and Brand X paint. I guess I will have to go and try that JT paint. You wouldn't happen to have a set of calipers to test the average diameter of each of the paint brands you have used do you?

By the way, congratulations on your new E-mag. I just got my converted E-mag back a couple of days ago and have been enjoying it ever since.

The JT Maxim balls are made by RP Scherer and are made with the same technology that goes into their marbellizer paintballs.

The JT paint has an obscenely yellow, thick fill. I don't have any more lying around right now to measure (shot it all today ) but most won't fall through a .689" barrel, but with a gentle blow, goes right through (now THAT's scientific!)

All in all, it's very similar to Slam paint. The stuff just seems to fly real well. I should also weigh it to see if it's a bit heavier than other paints (ooh, another test on the way!) A local PB store got a skid of it in, and everyone who's tried it really likes it. What I DON'T like about it is the $70 a case pricetag.

              edit: firstcallpaintball has a special on the JT paint. 4 cases @ $55 a case, + S/H.
