    RT Leaking

I have a new RT Pro,
I fired a few dry shots out of it when i finally got an air tank. The next day i went to try it again, and when i screwed the tank in, it just started to leak air hysterically. I couldn't figure what was wrong at all. I then took the gun apart, and everything was fine. I put it back together, it worked fine. Then i took the tank out, and put it back in a few min later, same problem, then i got it workin again. Then a few days later, the problem still is occuring, and i don't know why. All the o-rings are good too. I've only been able to shoot about 20 shots thru it, and it shoots great. But if anyone can help me out on why the gun leaks when i screw the tank in, and i can't fire it, it just leaks all the air out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

The problem is common with the RT valve, if you're not gassing it up fast enough, it won't seal properly and it will leak down the barrel. Also, if the tank pressure is too low it will do this. Since you have a screw in tank, the best thing to do is get an on/off cradle for it, or get a proconnect and put it on the end of the hose next to inlet on the valve. You'll just leave the tank screwed into the ASA and gas up the gun with the pro-connect. This will gas it up fast enough that it seals the o-rings and it doesn't leak. A bit of oil on the reg. seat o-ring, which is the o-ring under the brass piece inbetween the two valve halfs generally helps with this problem.

      Ok, thanks.
I'm glad it has to do with the tank, and not the gun. The tank is actually a loaner, I'm just waiting for an AGD flatline to come in. and that comes with a cradle and an on/off so i should be good then.
      Again, Thanks.
