    barrel leak...

My minimag is leaking down the barrel. All the fittings are leak-free. It is shooting, but leaking in between. If I hold down the trigger, it does not leak. When I let go of the trigger, I get a small shot and it leaks. If i apply pressure to the trigger (but not pull it) It leaks more than it would if I just let it sit.

    Need some help here.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    leak

hmmm...i dont own a mini mag,but to my understanding its pretty much the same as a clasic.
it has somthing to do with the power tube

    such as

1 power tube oring try changing that
    2 spacer

if that doesnt work get a parts kit and replace all the orings...cause thats all mags are realy, just a bunch of orings

      first try oiling your mag....

if that does not work get a powertube spacer kit... the directions for fixing the leak are on the package......

or get the level 10 upgrade.... takes care of the spacer bit all together...... but does require a bit of fine tuning.....

depends how much you want to spend.... pt spacer kit $10-15.... LvX $85 (but greatly reduces the side effect of misfeeds and shortstroking... basicly gets rid of 99% of chops)

Check the sig. He's already got LX.... Barrel leak means go down a carrier size, right?
I'm way too old for this ****.

          ohhh

i just remembered i had that prob and i couldnt figure it out....on your on/off valve replace the teflon o rings.

the leak starts there and goes down the barrel

ohhh you have a lvl 10....it sounds like a carier problem
the leak changes pitch when you put preasure on the bolt?...if so its prolly your carier

The level 10 is not installed yet.

I have'nt had time to test it yet. just got my tank filled today and was hoping to play tommarow, so i figured I'd just use the stock bolt.

Thanks for all the help, I'm sure I'lll figure it out.

*edit* OK, tried oiling it up. Did'nt help. By the power tube o-ring, do you guys mean the o-ring inside the power tube tip or the o-ring farther down, beneath the spacer?*edit*

yes, that's the o'ring. If that ring is good, then use a shorter spacer.

              on a level 7 mag.
