Any suggestion on upgrating old Mag with LV 10?

I owned an 6-year-old Automag ( CF31188) and every parts was standard. It still works great with no problems. I'm little concerned if I upgrading to LV10 without change to Retro Valve ( I'm running on Co2 with Palmer's regulator). Is it risk to screwing my Mag? Is it worth for? Because I'm in Thailand, too far from AGD's support!! Any suggestions will be helpfull.
    Thanks.:)

if you dont have a major choping problem, u dont realy need LX. If you go retro you probably wont chop, they are hard to short stroke. How is paintball over there? Is it popular?

Do you chop alot of balls now? If not I would be reluctant to buy lvl X. I didn't chop alot before but I see it as insurance and an excuse to shoot more. It will work on a standard valve you don't need a Retro. I don't think you will screw it up, people here will help you out alot and it's not to hard to set up. As for using Co2 I'd do some searches and check:

The last one has some links too, good luck!

BTW, if you do decide to Go Retro (hehehehe) then you'll have to get N2/CA. CO2 & retro is a big nono!

Well , I have no problems about choping balls. Just wonder if LV10 could help me shoot smoother( lightened trigger pull). I'm not a kind of rain maker players!
Paintball in Thailand becomes more popular each days. But if compared to US , we're just a little baby. Most of players are kids from International schools or colleges. There're about 200 players who play paintball seriously. We use a Thai made paint and Diablo. The cost for playing paintball are quite
          expensive here.
Most popular markers are Cockers and Mags with a few of Spyder , Angel , PPS or Bob Long while Tippmann is a standard rental markers. No Pro Shops here , so players must maintainance their paintgun by them selves. There're 4 fields in Bangkok and 5-6 fields around the country.
Thank you very much for all your suggestions.

LX won't do anything for trigger pull. All it does is keep you from chopping.

If you want to get a better trigger pull, get an I-frame. There's an enormous difference between it & all other 'mag frames.

I have the SAME thing I'm doing ... I have a 7yr old Mag I'm now upgrading .... this is what I've decided is my best upgrade way to go.

              1) Nitrogen: First I found that its the best first deal cause it improves your performance and dropping quite a bit. Just adding a 68/3000 PSI screw in preset tank has helped me a lot in just shooting around cause I dont drop balls as easily when firing plus its much more consistant.

              2) Body: I had a standard body so I am replacing it with a powerfeed which will help some of my chop problems without the lvlx kit ... if you have powerfeed dont worry about this one.

              3) Intelliframe w/ the Revolution 12v: Thats my next purchase is to combine an intelliframe with my 12v Revolution w/ Xboard.

              4) Retro Valve: This will allow me to take full advantage of the setup and get improved recharge time...

              5) Barrel: I will upgrade my barrel from my 12" AA to probably a Dye shortly.

              5) "IF" I still chop balls for some reason then I'll put a Level 10 kit in at this point

This is just what I've researched and decided ... everyone is different.

              Sincerely,
              Dave K
