ok.. I was at my local field yesterday and my chrono speeds were all over the place.. I was getting 330,340,260,210,320.. Dont understand why.. Im running a 68/3k pre-set HPA tank. The funny thing is that when I turn down the velocity adjuster, I start to roll the balls out of the barrel, but if I turn it up so that it actually shoots, I get 300+... whats going on.. all help is greatly accepted.
spiking BIG time.. need help please

its almost definetely the Regulator seat. this has happened to me plenty of times before, i just changed the reg seat and it was fine.

I really doubt this happened to you ... but are you missing the plug (sorry dont know the actual name) on the bottom of the regulator?
A long time ago I was having a leak fixed and they dropped that small plug type piece from the bottom and I shot 350 constantly, and when I turned it down the same problem happened.
I really doubt thats the cause, but just one of those "it happened once" type things.

alright... I still haven't figured out why my mag is being moody lately.
But I just noticed something that might make a difference.
The new reg seat that I put in doesn't seem to be lining up properly.. not sure if that is the reason or not though.. I will have to wait till this Sat to chrono at the field.. I hope thats the problem... It really sucks to have to shoot at 180fps... Better off throwing the paint at the enemy..

make sure it is a agd parts kit. i have had really bad luck with brand new parts kits from competitors. it woul dbe a good idea to open it up and reset the seat if the velocity is still whacky. sometimes it could just be slightly misaligned which could be the cuase of your velocity jumps. if you did all this then start looking elsewhere but most of the time velocity issues is due to your reg seat.
good luck
