    worry worry worry

most of this thread could probably be answered by me simply going out to a field and testing it out but im so worried cause the e-mag is such a nice gun and was hoping someone would be kind enough to answer these questions

ok i have just installed the level 10. my input psi is between 800-900 and i have no idea what my FPS is cause i dont have a chronograph. however when i fire it shoots very well (though im thinking the velocity is like 400 ). i use diablo blaze and using the shortest spring with 1.5 carrier and 2 shim assembly has been very good for me and i love that nice sound it makes when it stops on a ball. my concern however is that after the bolt stops on the ball my input psi drops down to approximately 400 psi and then hisses and takes about a second to go back up to my original 800-900 input psi. other than that it seems all good. well first thing is first. does this sound like a successful install? any recommendations for better performance?

on a more minor note since this might be that my FPS might be so high. when i fired without a hopper on the balls in my vertical feed neck flew out from the recoil. is this normal or because my seemingly high velocity? also is it safe/ok to leave 200 psi in the system for extended periods of time (like for a week till i get a proconnect/qd/slide check). and i know ive asked this before but my e-mag is horribly loud indoor (compared to my tippmann model 98 indoors). its not just loud it hurts my ears. and no im not sensitive this is really loud and im concerned. like i said before my input psi is 800-900 and i have no idea what my FPS is.

    thanks alot for the help

id just like to add. interestingly enough two hours after twisting the knob to the off position the pressure has gone out of my gun. im happy but im also confused/worried since this shows signs of leakage. or is this also something normal?

The only thing that sounds like a problem is that something must be leaking somewhere. It's nothing that will keep you from playing. Nothing sounds like a problem, but the output pressure sounds strange. What tank do you have? BTW, you need to chrono the marker before you know if everything is working right.

its an adjustable 88 ci 4500 psi flatline. it doesnt hiss when the air is flowin into the gun but apparently its going out somewhere when its off. oh and i have a level 10 bolt installed and the only way i got it to work was with a high input pressure and high velocity

If it's venting for a very long time, i think you might need another shim.

remember that the gun will quiet down a lot when you actually shoot paint thru it.

Sounds like the gun is shooting too hot. Get out and chronograph the gun before you do anything else to the gun. Getting it shooting 300fps and then go from there. If it's still leaking while sitting for a long time, then install the next smaller carrier. Also, if you have problems with the bolt locking up on a ball when it pinches it, then install an extra shim.

You have to turn the pressure up in order to get the lvl 10 to work, it is totally normal. take your marker out and get it chrono'ed. the 200 psi in your marker wont hurt it after a week, just dont leave it for six months. that would be bad.
