AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
1) get a dremel or similar and cut a slot through the head. this will allow you to get a flat head screwdriver into it and turn it out. this is what i do. works best, ive found
2) take a large drill bit and drill off the head. once the head is off you can then take pliers to twist out the screw. much more involved than the first
a third, not as good, idea is to superglue the allen key into the screw and then let it dry and then twist
I got a stripped screw too, only I can't use a dremel, because the screw that's stripped is the screw that holds the fram together and it's blocked by the trigger guard (I have an i-frame, no hole in guard like on stock). I tried glue, but it's too stripped to work.
Any suggestions?

I usually use a 1/4" chisel to walk screws like that out.
Don't try this if you are not sure of your abilities.
1. With the gun upside down, barrel to the right. Strike a SMALL nick into the screw head on the right side sort of between the screw and the front of the trigger guard (about 5 oclock if the guard is 3 oclock). The chisel should be close to vertical when doing this. This will be your driving notch.
2. With the chisel about 45 from level place the corner of the chisel into the notch and lightly tap it, following the screw around as it turns. Once you get it to turn about 1/4 of a turn you should be able to use your wrench to get it out.
This works well for me but you can mess up things in a hurry if you aren't careful.
