    Retro Valve + Flatline

    I have a small problem.

I'm addicted to my retro valve

However, it does have a *very* small sweet spot. It's hard to find, but it's there. My worry is that one day I will go to a tourney, a ref will find it, and disqualify my gun. I have the regular length on/off pin in there etc but I can't get rid of it.

I'm thinking of buying a Flatline tank so that I can just crank down the PSI and get rid of the reactivity if need be. Can anyone tell me, from experience, that dropping the psi will totally get rid of any sweet spotting capability?

I'd also like to be able to crank the psi up for some more reactivity when it doesn't matter

I'm looking at a 68/4500 flatline (not that it really matters, but..)

you checked your sear, trigger rod length, rail bushing, field strip screw is tight, bolt bumper and bolt spring?

how long is your on/off pin(exactly)?

I haven't checked it with a calipers, but they are stock parts. The sweet spot is really, really tiny - I just don't want it there.

I mean, I want the Flatline anyway, but if any of those parts are the wrong size by a tiny amount, will cranking down the psi have no effect on the sweet spot ability?

yes it will have an effect. getting a flatline is a good move too, but you shouldnt have to lower your input to fix the problem. do you have calipers? check the measurements and list your findings.

        check your pm.

Because refs in tourneys don't like it

Does anyone know of a 5" cradle that will fit the dovetail adapter? Needs to be black

lol, my friend has an RTP, he spweetspotted the trigger, he can do MOFO'n 24bps strings

he owns the whole field, he runs up front and keeps everyone at bay

its just amazing, you just hear this fast arse repeated *bang bang bang bang* not real loud, but really fast, ref's at my field dont care luckily

enuf bout my friend, for you, uh, dont use the sweetspot lol, its tempting, i know, but not always legal

Heh, I can shoot plenty fast w/o sweetspotting it Doesn't matter if I don't touch it though - if a ref at a tourney takes my gun and sweetspots it, I'd be disqualified.

Because you are not controlling the firing - it's not one shot per trigger pull.

well, it technically is one shot per pull, but its so reactive that is just bounces off your finger uncontrollably, if thats what you are talking about

If it's uncontrollable it's not one shot per pull, because you are not controlling the pull.

one idea, make the trigger rod on the sear a bit longer

Well, I don't really want to start adjusting lengths of things without knowing what's wrong, because it's going to screw stuff up. Guess I need those calipers.
