    Stripped velocity adjuster - help!

Hello! Great to be back on the forum after my looong break!

Here's my problem - I bought a minimag a while back second hand. Its got a semi-stripped velocity adjuster thats been bugging me for a while now. By "semi-stripped" I mean that if I'm really careful (and gentle) and have the perfect allen-key to fit the hole, it works fine but it may be making the problem worse.

    What can I do?

    Thanks for the help guys!

hehe...if only it was that easy but thanks for the advice!

I live in South Africa - rather far away!! Anything that needs to be replaced by ADG would require a lot of time and money (import costs etc etc) which I cannot do. I'll check out the local paintball suppliers down here to see what they can offer though.

I was wondering about this: what if a carefully cut a groove through the adjuster to fit a flat screw head? Problems this may cause?

Anything else that I could do?

oh well you did not stat your location, so i assumed you lived in the states. See if any of the Paintball suppliers near you can order on? or have some spare ones. It is cheaper for them to import than it is for you

Actualy, if you can not find the part, have a local machine shop make you one out of stainless steel!!!

You could try using a very small hobby file to enlarge the hole to the next size allen key. Just a thought.

Thats what I did for my Nitro tank's adjuster, worked great, just takes patience... just think "its for paintball" while you're doing it.

Hey...thats a pretty good idea. Thanks guys, I'll definetly try that!! I can either think "its all for paintball" or alternatively, put the thing down and say "damn this, I'll pay the local airsmith to do it for me".

Shot for the help again lads! I've got another prob/question I'll run by you guys at a later stage though. First, I'm gonna read the rest of the previous forum threads to see if its been asked already!
