Over the past week Ive been noticing a new lvl 10 problem that is popping up in my markers. From what I can see, it looks like it MAY be temperature related. Originally, I was running this lvl 10 setup at the 1 carrier, 2 shiims, and middle spring. After things being set just fine for sometime, I went to play one afternoon, and the gun wouldn't fire. (classic case of bolt stick due to a carrier being too tight.) SO, i bumped up the size to a 1.5 carrier. Well, last sunday, I let a friend borrow the gun for several games, and he started to notice a developing leak from the barrel area. - - - - keep in mind that I do oil the gun everyday before play. So, i figure that the o-ring has broken in more, and i need to drop down to the #1 carrier again. Well, tonight ( and i noticed it was MUCH colder tonight than last sunday afternoon) The gun was starting to stick a bit again.- - - Now im confused, because i just moved down to that carrier due to leaks- - AND i played/ shot half a case through it LAST night, with no problems at all. So, Im wondering if maybe the decrease in temperature is causing the carrier o-ring to shrink or swell any.
My main question is
"how do i fix this without having to 'tune' the lvl 10 everyday to ensure flawless operation?"
Ive heard of people polishing the bolt piston to 'tweak' performance- - tried to search for more info on this one, but didnt find much more than some vauge references. No step by step procedures. Any insight on this?
All help greatly appreciated.
