How well does a regulator work on a Mag?

I was just wondering how well a regulator would work on an Automag. Also, is an Automag considered a high or low pressure marker. Thanks

yes. as tuna said, the mag has a reg in it to adjust the Velo. however, with Co2, a Palmer Stabilizer will wokr great to eliminate the liquid into the AIR reg and make it more consistant. this is the only tim i would recommend a reg, is when running CO2.

the mag would be a, technically, low pressure marker. it shoots around 400psi. HP is usually 700-800psi. its not cocker "LP" which is around 200-300psi, i realistically, i would say its a mid pressure?

of course the operating pressure isn't what makes a gun great. Peak Barrel pressure in mags are about the lowest you're going to get.

The pressure inside the chamber is near 400psi, but when you fire the pressure falls down to 80psi, which is the same as the "Low Pressure" markers.

You can find nice graphs of this in the deep blue forum. There's a comparison between the Emag, Angel, and a few others, which is extremely interesting.

if you had a second/third reg, in theory your gun will be slightly more consistant. But if you dont have the PSI's set up right you could experience shoot down.
