Retro-value, when it is valuable to have

    Hi All,

I took a long hard look at what would actually improve my Mag last night based on my style of play, and I can't decide about the retro-valve.

My end goal is not to maximise paint dpm ( dollars per minute ) and I've read that it is the retro valves ability to recharge allowing high rates of fire that many people like.. not relevant for me. I don't like to fire lots of paint.

    Can anyone advise if:

    - the trigger pull is significantly sweeter ( as in less aggressive and less likely to take my off aim )
    - the fps consistency for single shots or strings of 2 or 3 is better than a stock automag valve

If not, then I might be better dumping my money into a hyperframe ( for its action and cool-factor, not its ROF )

    TIA

    Keith

if you want the sweeter trigger that won'y mess with the way you shoot, get a hyperframe. the retro valve kicks the trigger back at you. it doesn't look like you want this.

      Retro-valve

      I agree with Cha0tic

I set my Hyper Frame to Hyper mode at 8 pps
and shoot arcs of paint. I've asked the
owners of the field I go to, and they
say at 8 pps nobody cares. I like it because
it evens out my trigger pulls and I don't feel
like I'm cheating at this lower ROF. I've also
set the frame to semi at 10 bps, but I would
break paint. I've found that at 8 bps the gun
is very reliable, and feeds perfect.

I'm kinda underwhelmed with Retro-valve kit, my brother's
still won't go reactive. We've tried all the
      suggestions, all to no avail.
The trigger pull is crisp but not any faster
than the stock valve. I've lately been thinking
about buying a new on/off pin and grinding off
.002-.005 in length. Playing with the input pressure
and removing the second regualtor hasn't done a thing.

Always the best bet is to try each setup for a game or two.
Just shooting the gun at the range or your back yard
won't do. You have to play with it in a game,
then you'll know for sure if you like it or not.

      good luck.
