    A few R/T questions

    Greets all,

I'm not new to the sport, but I would consider myself a novice.

I've been reading all the posts about the new LX, and it sounds great. I've got #1294 Automag R/T I bought on Ebay a few years back. I've put a phase II bolt on her, a Benchmark Double trigger/grip, a 14" Dye Barrel, a VL2000 loader, and a Nitro Duck 47/3000 preset. Other than that it's stock. I've only rebuilt the Power valve once since I've had it.

To that end I must say I've never had a chopped ball, not even once. I have had a few balls burst in the barrel at times. Overall in a case of Team Colors I've had maybe 3-5 ball breaks in the Dye Barrel.

Is this normal for the R/T?

For my next question, I'm thinking of getting the new E-mag, or even the X-mag, with a Warpfeed, LX, etc..

What are the major advantages in the marker itself as compared to the R/T? Is it more accurate? Use less air? etc.. I'm trying to decide if I should just upgrade my R/T a little, with a new Flatline Tank so I can reg the air better, a remote so I can move the air off the gun to save weight, maybe a new barrel, and a warpfeed.

Also I'm thinking of just getting a preset 88ci/4500 what are the advantages of being able to change the pressures going into the R/T?

I would like some thoughts on this before I go rush out and Drop $1500 on a new marker, that I'm sure I would love just as much as my R/T..

    Thanks
    Talon

From my understanding its using the same valve for the most part, but with the EMag you get the electronic trigger plus not only does it run electronic, you can run it hybrid or even mechanical if the battery dies without leaving the field. Your ROF is increased due to the setup ... so ya gotta love it!!

I'm sure more poeple can elaborate, or ya can do a search for more info .... there are more improvements with the EMag over the R/T as well ...

      Sincerely,

It really comes down to a matter of preference!! You have an RT now, the only advantage I can think of is that it's easier to maintain a high ROF with the E-mag!! As your second question, with an adjustable tank, you are able to adjust the reactiveness of you trigger to your liking!!

if you like your rt, then just get yourself a tank for it. the xmags are kool though. im not sure, but i would imagine that the alum body would way less. the downside is you can't use your mag barrels with it.

it sounds like you really like your rt. make it more custom if you keep it. maybe an ano job.

the emag will provide you with a much much shorter pull. also if you have an RT and are gonna keep it, i suggest getting an adjustable tank, such as a flatline, so you can adjust the amount of "bounce" or reactivness that the trigger gives you.
