1. It Rocks! I just got mine a couple weeks ago & absolutely love it.

2. No, you don't have to take the battery off hte marker. There's a battery pin you take out to turn the electronics on. Meaning that so long as the battery pin is "connected" then you're in mechanical (Manual) mode.

3. You can prolly find a used adjustable tank, drop & fittings, etc. in the Classifieds here on AO for $300.

E-mag are phemomenal markers, I have had mine for well over a year and a half, and still love it!! I would recommend them to anyone!! And no, you do not have to take the battery off to use the mechanical mode!!! And for 300, you can try and find a good used adjustable system with a drop forward and everything, or, you can get just about any screw-in tank you want!!
Also, welcome to AO, and as spazzed said, your english is better than half of the native english speakers who frequent this forum!!
