Valve Leak...Some Quick Help Please

hey,
i built a mag with mostly spare and traded parts as a backup to my cocker. the valve is my friends valve, and when i gassed it up its leaking outta the reg. when i hold the trigger in it stops leaking but when i let the trigger out it starts leaking again..im sure one of u guys can pinpoint this problem....and is it a problem my local tech can fix easily or a problem where ill hafta send the valve into AGD to get fixed...lemme know please
