    Beginning Tinkering Tools

So I'm in the process (thanks to a christmas bonus) of updating my tool selection. I've already got great soldering equipment, dremmel, and drill press. I'm getting a bench grinder, but is there something that I'm not thinking of that will help with machnining aluminum?

It depends on the size of your bonus. You could look for a small tabletop mill, a decent table top on sale will run in the $750-1000 price range(nice ones $1500+), or a lath/mill/drill hobby combo, you can get those for the same price range but they usaly arent of very high quality. Just a few ideas for ya

Yeah I've been actually toying with the idea of building one. One of my friends was in anaheim said he saw an old bridgeport mill for like $200, he's checking it out for me. If it's good I'll go out and pick that up. Slap on a couple servos and a controller and see if I can convert it to a poor man's cnc.
