The trigger is not a problem but the safety can be a hassle. In the stock frame the safety is held in by a little steel ball and spring that holds pressure against the safety. This ball and spring are held in place by a small set screw which screws in from the top of the grip frame (between the frame and the body rail). The problem with DYE frames is that the hole for this ball and spring is not tapped. So to setup the safety on the DYE frame you have two choices... 1. Tap the hole (which would require a very small tap which is hard to find) or 2. Use a much longer spring, one that extends out the top of the grip frame so when you assemble the frame to the body rail the spring will be pressed down into the hole. This will create the pressure needed to hold the safety in place.
I hope that helps...I've got quite a gut, I'm no spring chicken, but I can still play with the best of 'em. Oh, and by the way, that's my paint you're wearing. -
I love my DYE...

Hell, I have no safety, so (I think) it's not tourney legal... but it's a helluva lot better than my Benchmark could ever have dreamed to be.-Campbell "aNtHrAx323" Krueger

I love my DYE frame, but the safety was not the only problem. I found a tap, and used the ball, spring, and set screw from AGD grip, works like a dream. My frame is the 2x trigger, so it had ALOT of side to side slop. I found 2 very thin washers and put them on each side of the trigger to take up the slack. It worked great and did not bind the trigger. I hope this will help, if not, postv again, I'll try and help.

Well Tunaman will probably do it for you but so will I. Anyone can do it you just need the proper key for taps and a 4-40 tap. You may also want to get the tapping fluid to help the cuttings get out of the hole. I will give you instructions on how to tap oif you like. I also have a nice little remedy for the side to side play that involves a little pakcet of o-rings I got from ACE hardware. DYE frames are superb.

PS:
for those of you that have the new version of the DYE frame and don't have a safety just use the excuse I used to use. "What are you talking about..the new DYE frames don't have safety's, that slot is window milling!"
