    Level 10 causing suction?

Ok, one of the locals (coming to AO sometime soon) had a Level 10 installed on his pro team powerfed (removable) Micro at IAO.

Well, it's causing feed tube suction.

After thinking about it, it's theoretically possible, but I still don't know exactly why it's happening.

He has a video posted for your veiwing pleasure. If anyone has any knowledge of this happening elsewhere, please post.

    Link to Video.

    WHIRRED!

Good job... how long did it take..or was that a side effect of the quick install? Good to see mags pulling crazy stuff too!

There's no blowback at all. It's timed just right such that a vacuum is created behind the ball and the bolt opens and just the right time to create a bit of suction.

figured I'd finally break down and get an account, after logging on everyonce in awhile
and since we are talking about my gun and all
so who else has tried this?
I really want to find out if it's just the lvl 10 or not

Almost any gun will do that if the bolt returns once all the air in the barrel is moving towards the end of the barrel. Its the momentum of the moving air that creates a vaccuum and causes the suction.

If you fire a ball, this won't happen unless you can hold the bolt closed until the ball completely exits the barrel and there is enough extra air behind the ball also exiting the barrel to create a vaccuum. This last scenario would create inefficiencies in most guns because of the wasted air exiting the barrel following the ball.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Once the bolt is forward, the burst of air releases and the chamber pressure falls below the force of the spring. With the stiffer spring, this happen faster. The end result is that the moving air doesn't have as much time to build up as much momentum before the bolt returns to its back position. Its the moving air that causes the suction, so no moving air creating a vaccuum, no suction.
