I got my ReTro valve about a month ago, I use a preset tank and from the day i've gotten it the trigger went "retro" quite easily, just by applying a small pressure to the trigger. About last week my mag started firing on the pull and the return about half of my shots, which i figured unusual, so i took apart the mag and examined the sear, on the top the goldish hard coating had been shaven off the left side of the sear but the right side was still ok, i figured it was normal wear. I was firing in my basement today and my mag went full auto on me, i took out the sear to find that the little apex where it catches the bolt had been chipped down and the goldish hardening was worn away.
So, my question, AGD is there something that I might have done that could cause excessive sear wear? keep in mind i'm using a stock frame, and the trigger rod was NOT adjusted, nothing has been changed since i bought my ReTro valve. Or is it possible i got a sear that was bad to begin with and just got worse because it was originally bad? If so, is it possible for me to get a replacement sear? for the time being, my minimag has no sear because it's in my ReTro.
Thanks
