i would recommend a good automotive paint that is sprayed on, with a good clear coat over it to protect and shine. my old mag was metallic flake black with a clear coat over it. it was tight.

Your best bet for painting your gun is to get it powdercoated. Powdercoat is actually a resin, making it far and away stonger and more chemical resistant than any automotive paint.

Eric McBain at SiNs Customs can paint your gun in any way you would like, including lettering, cartoons and even close-to-photograph-quality graphics on it. He can be reached at: [email protected] You can also see some of his work here . THis is the old page, but you can see the quality work he is capable of.

Another member of AO that does custom painting is RedRider, [email protected] . RedRider has already garnered many kudos for his super fine solid and fade paint jobs.

Lastly, there is [email protected] . I dont know much about him at all, but an Email should get you all the info you need.

well, i doubt you could do the powdercoating yourself. i would just go with the automotive paint.

The powdercoat will look much better after about 3 or 4 games, because it won't scratch off like paint will. You could probably scratch a powdercoat, with a carbide tip drill bit or something like that.. :)

I would say the powercoat is worth it just because it will be soooo much more rugged, right? Like paint-anodization... coool
