Have you tried turning up the velocity? Keep turning it up until it shoots reliably. Try it without the barrel. Some barrels are bored off center and don't allow the bolt to cycle properly. As for shims. They do NOT control the bolt force. Only if you have leaking down the barrel and the o-ring fit is tight do you remove a shim and only if it locks up on a ball when it pinches it do you add a shim. If I can get away without using shims, I don't use them.

yea, i tried turnin the velocity way way way up and it vented right in my face lol. and i havent had the barrel on. i tried taking all the shims out. it doesnt even move the bolt a little bit now. when i pull the trigger the rod feels forceful but it doesnt do anything. i also tried usin the next highest and next lowest carrier. and tried different springs. i have no idea what to do.

Are you tightening the field strip screw with an allen wrench? If so, just tighten it by hand. If you're just tightening it by hand, then try tightening it with an allen wrench. I've seen it work both ways where it wouldn't let the bolt cycle all the way if the field strip screw was fully tightened or in some cases if it wasn't.

Okay, I just tried it with the screw really tight and nothing happened. then i tried to loosen it and still nothing happened, except it started to leak.

Like BlackVCG said, it could be the barrel.

Take out your barrel and shoot. Tell us what happens.
                      Peace!

drummr6 - your triple posting. 2 posts here in the tech threads and 1 in the level 10 problems thread. This doesnt help when we're trying to firgure out the problem, everyone must check all three posts to know everything and recommend a solution as do you to see what everyone has recommended. Keep it organized, this is a level 10 problem, I suggest you delete your two threads and stick to the level 10 problems thread. All this is doing is taking up space.

You can delete the thread by going up to your first post, clicking edit and then clicking delete at the top. I don't believe your problem is level 10 related, throw in your level 7 parts and see if the marker works properly, plz repost your findings in the level 10 problems thread.
