    Auto vs. Mini

Does the mini body make the gun more compact? If so how?

Hi Derman2k, makes no difference from what I can see.
I just got a MiniMag body, which is way longer at 235mm than an AutoMag body at 160mm. I have gone back to using my polished AutoMag PF body, because it balances better with my setup.

The MiniMag was designed to be used with an 8" barrel, which is way smaller than that used by the Automag. The Minimag is also supplied with a front vertical bottle adapter, which would give you a more compact and slightly more reliable set up than the AutoMag. However, things move on and most people now use the front ASA on all Mags for an X chamber with the CO2 or air running through a back or bottom adapter. Not too much difference now.

Both bodies look good, you decide.....

Same valve .. only major difference is the front ASA is standard on the minimag and a different body.

I personally have a standard mag w/ polished PL body and I skipped the vertical ASA, I run my line directly to my Drop Forward and hook my HPA 68/3000 directly into my drop forward, cuts out the middleman since my tank is preregulated and the AIR valve is already built into the automag valve, so its already regulated.

      Sincerely,
      Dave K

So theres really no difference in the sizes? I was thinking about getting a minimag body for my automag...but it sounds like they're the same

The minimag body is a lil longer actually ...

You should get an Emag body :)

I sorta like my body, I have a Powefeed left polished standard mag body ...

Shortly though I'm getting a WARP body

          Sincerely,
          Dave
