    millin' on the old mag

    Im in the process of changing my old standerd feed mag body into a virtical feed. i am ready to reatach the frame screw nut back on in its new spot and was wondering what would be the best way? brazing,welding, duck tape, etc. Has anyone ever donr this before?

      So what did you do grind off the nut and just plan to repositiong it so the strait feed tube is in the vertical position? I think the nuts are brazed or silver soldered to the tube body from AGD. I personaly find a local welding shop and have it TIG welded on. How ever you do it be carefull not to warp the body and rember to grind off all the extra weld/solder/braze, the bodys are made to a tight tolerance, and changeing the way it fits to the rail WILL cause problems, even painting the body without masking off the underside will change things enough to cause problems. Good luck and if it works let us know , maby even toss us a pic.
