    RT won't react

I have an Automag RT (bought about 3 or 4 years ago). Love the marker shoots accurate and all but it doesn't react. Others have had their RT's over and their markers would fly. But mine seems really tight. What can I do to make it shoot (react) faster? If I loosen the banjo screw it reacts but it also starts leaking too. The pressure is set at about 900 psi. going into the gun also. It still won't react.

    Help please.

Now are we talking about reacting in the way of sweetspotting/runaway? Or are we talking about it pushing your finger/trigger back to firing position?

      it will shoot fine

It will shoot fine but it won't sweetspot. I can't really reply on whether or not it is pushing my finger back the way it's supposed to because it has always acted like this and I have just recently noticed others with RT's shooting much sweeter.

I owned a regular mag before this one and truthfully I could shoot it just as fast as this one. It also had about the same trigger pull to it as well. Really stiff and tight.

Make sure everything is well oiled, and turn up your input pressure!!! If you want even more reactivity, install a shorter on/off pin, available from AGD!!!

Just remember, that sweetspotting/runaway is actually a malfunction of the gun. It's not really designed to fire in that manner.

I had a similar problem with my marker too. I installed the level 10 kit and used a screw in tank. The marker would work just fine but in RT mode the marker choked down and would shoot. Come to find out the tank pressure out of the reg was low and wouldn't flow the air that the marker needed. Luckly I had 4 different tanks and found one tank that would work. So thats my 2 cents hope it works.

              what about...

what about the stiffness of the trigger? I just thought that when I got it that it was stiff because of being new but surely to goodness it would be broke in by now. Like I said my pressure is right at 900 psi. How much higher do I need to go? Someone mentioned that I could thread tape the banjo without covering the holes and screw it back in. The thread tape would cause the screw not to go all the way up in but would still be tight. As you all know that by backing out the banjo you get major reaction. Do I need to send the marker in and let agd check it out and tune it? What's the average turn around time for markers?

Sounds like your marker is doing exactly what it is supposed to be doing...Your gun isn't supposed to sweetspot, its malfunctioning when it does. If you sent your gun into agd would you say, "can you make my gun malfunction?" just leave it be and learn how to pull that trigger. just get a fill and practice. just my $.02

doing what it's supposed to ?

Man I have my own compressor and cascade system. I have owned the marker for over 3 years and have played with it a multitude of times. The trigger is getting tighter and tighter. When I first got it it was tight but not like it is now. If this is the way a mag is supposed to shoot then i'm getting a matrix. I love mags and think they are great but they can't keep up with any other gun on our team.

Sorry to hear about the probs. But I have not had those problems with mine. Mine malfunction(as they would like to say)all the time. I have to use a Halo with it so the paint will keep up. But ever since AGD came out with the Level 10 Kit I have feel in love with my RT all over again.

Hope you are able to work it out, maybe you could send it to Doc Nickel at www.docsmachine.com and maybe he could look at it. He works on my markers.

Have you ever taken the On/off bottom out and cleaned the hole that the ON/OFF pin goes through to hit the sear? Normally ALOT of junk accumulates in there and that will put resistance on the trigger. It's a paint to clean but you'd be surprised out how much stuff gets in there.

Also run away on an RT will cause damage to the internals... I have my gun setup to run away but rarely ever do I do it. How often do you oil your marker? Ever replaced the on/off top o-ring? Maybe try that... Good luck with it.
