Lapco bigshot barrel doesnt fit into body?? what the hecks goin on?

I just recently purchased a lapco bigshot for my mag and it doesnt even fit into the body right. It's really really hard to get all the way in and now i cant get it out lol. this is with the orings off too. i took the body off the gun, took the o rings off the barrel, and it still is stuck in there. HELP PLEASE!!

Lubricate with silicon spray or some other light lubricant (wd-40 if all else fails).

When you manage to get it out, polish the barrel a little bit with blue magic or similar polishing compound. That will take a litle bit of metal from it and allow a smoother entry.
    Hope that helps.

Ok, heres what i did: first i tried it with the orings and it didnt really go in at all; then I took the orings off and put it in and it got stuck. I just got it out this morning with the help of another person. should I just use regular silver polish?

There is a detent in the rail that the barrel grove rides over. The spring inside the detent will rust preventing the detent from pushing down when the barrel is inserted making the barrel hard to remove or install the barrel. You need to dissassemble the rail from the frame and inspect the detent, if it won't push down you can remove the spring and lube the internals of the detent. If it's still stuck you can tap it out carefully out of the rail and get a new one from AGD.

                  Good Luck

                  Jefro

No, its definitely not that because the detent isnt part of the body.

Silver polish might work but is a bit to fine, you might want to give it a go with some 320 or 400 grit sandpaper first then use the silver polish to smooth it out and get it shiny again.
