    Curious About Serial Numbers

My brother and I have my old mag sitting around and we were wondering if there is any way we would be able to find out when it was built. Ther serial number is in the 2300's marked on the valve. I originally purchased it many moons ago as my main marker before moving into an RT when they first came out. It sat on a shelf for two years and on a whim we pulled it down, dusted it off and took it to the field. I used it all day without cleaning or lubing it and it worked flawlessly. Appropriately we have nicknamed it "Old Reliable" and since then it has been properly cleaned and lubed ready for when we need it again. Any info on a rough manufacturing period would be appreciated.

If you call AGD, they can give you the approximate date of manufacture, usualy within a 3 month window!!

Thats all I'm looking for. I didn't expect an exact day, time and all that crap. I know its pretty damn old so I thought it would be interesting to have a rough idea. Thanks guys.
